The Korea Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center(KMMPC)

The Korea Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center (KMMPC) was established in May of 2008 at Lee Gil Ya Cancer and Diabete Institute, Gachon University of Medicine and Science. The rapid development of gene targeting technology has resulted in specific gene altered mice associated with metabolic disorders, such as insulin resistance, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. The mission of KMMPC is to advance research in the area of metabolic disorders by providing novel experimental tools to the scientific community for quantitative phenotyping gene altered mouse models of diabetes and other metabolic diseases using state-of-the-art methodology that is not widely available to the scientific community. The KMMPC consists of three cores: In vivo Metabolism Core, In vitro &Chemical Analytic core and In vivo animal MRS core.
