￭ 소개

환경보건 연구실(Environmental Health & Epidemiology Lab)은 주로 노인성 만성질환의 역학 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 국내외 보건의료 및 환경노출 Big Data를 이용하여 연구결과를 도출합니다.
만성질환을 일으키는 주요 요인 중 하나는 생활환경(환경노출, 영양섭취, 생활습관, 운동 등)입니다. 생활 중 노출되는 유해환경인자(대기오염, 가습기살균제 노출, 환경호르몬 노출, 중금속 노출)에 의한 건강영향(당뇨, 청력저하, 허약, 고혈압, 폐질환, 안질환 등)에 대해 연구하며, 더불어 영양상태(항산화 비타민, 비타민D, 미네랄 섭취)에 의한 건강예방 효과에 대해 연구합니다. 건강증진을 위한 바람직한 예방방법을 제시하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하며, 실험적 접근보다는 통계적인 접근 방법을 주로 이용합니다. 해외 유수 학자들과 협업을 통해 세계적 수준의 연구를 수행합니다.
